As Researchers
We ask all researchers, statisticians and information managers to help make the invisible visible, by considering the following actions.
- Conduct both quantitative and qualitative studies with working children and their families, under the conditions of ILO 182 Recommendation 190 using action participatory methods by:
- Developing an accessible and understandable database on the issue.
- Determine the magnitude of the sector from national surveys. If this is unavailable, work out its inclusion in national surveys.
- Document perceptions of employers.
- Present models of effective approaches and programs.
- Practice ethics in the conduct of researches, especially sensitivity to children's and women's issues.
