Visayan Forum has been fighting human trafficking and modern slavery for over two decades. Through the years, it has acquired a wealth of knowledge on the issue just as it has developed several globally celebrated innovations based on real and on-the-ground realities and challenges.

Visayan Forum’s study of the business of human trafficking in the Philippines has enabled it to develop strategic innovations that has brought systemic change and large-scale impact. Videos

Visayan Forum believes in the power of multimedia in reaching out to a broad-spectrum clientele. As we endeavor to warn and educate those who are most vulnerable to trafficking and modern slavery, we created various infomercials that have been mounted and played on televisions and public address systems in transport terminals, as radio plugs in partner radio stations, screened at different venues – from campaigns in schools to high-level conferences and meetings, and shared through social media. These very videos have prompted many to take up the fight against human trafficking and modern slavery. Verily, these videos have captured the reality of this social menace and the challenges of fighting it, such that social innovators may find it useful in learning about human trafficking and how to combat it.

Papers

Over the years, Visayan Forum has served as a leader in the fight against human trafficking and modern slavery, gracing a global stage as international expert on such issues including domestic work and child labor. As such, VF has published several papers, briefs, and other documents that has aided policy formulation and program development at local and international levels.
