Visayan Forum Foundation (VF) catalyzes multi-stakeholder partnerships through the creation of movements that promote concrete, practical and sustainable solutions.

VF works with faith-based groups, academe, and the media, to attack the culture of deceit and abuse perpetuated by traffickers and other exploiters.

Walk for Freedom Campaign

The Walk for Freedom campaign will mobilize at least 10,000 CSO leaders, volunteers, philanthropists, business leaders, community activists, law enforcers, government officials, politicians, victims themsleves and other stakeholders to take a final stand against trafficking and slavery. The campaign taps into the Filipino spirit of “bayanihan” (heroism) – the traditional value of selflessness, creativity, belongingness, and unity in working towards a common cause.

The campaign will set in motion a national social movement that will challenge the prevailing sense of helplessness with the belief that we can unshackle the chains of modern day slavery within our lifetime. It will invite individuals who have been immobilized by apathy to “walk with us” and help show the way for emancipation of modern-day slaves.

The Walk For Freedom Campaign will be launched in Manila during festivities from June 14 to 15.  This will signal the start of a series of Roadshow events where the same messages of hope, can-do attitude, and concrete action will resonate in other areas that are considered hotspots of trafficking.

The launch will feature the following activities:

1. Policy Dialogue on Trafficking and Involuntary Domestic Servitude

2. “Social Investments to End Human Trafficking” A Dinner-Forum with Business Leaders

3. Walk for Freedom
