FOR INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

We ask international organizations and donor agencies to consider the following actions, which are aimed at strengthening the capability of civil society to change the social fabric that perpetuates child domestic work.

1. Organize activities for collective action and strengthen solidarity at various levels.

2. Support organizational initiatives of domestic workers, such as the formation of SUMAPI core groups and chapters.

3. We call on international agencies to:

  • Have a wider plan for domestic work in general
  • Pursue domestic work issues in relation to Core Labor Standards and Decent Work, among others
  • Push for the recognition of domestic work as productive work, with a real impact on the national economy;
  • Draw up a logical framework (setting objectives, outputs and indicators) for its work on the phenomenon of child domestic work.
