CHILD DOMESTIC WORKERS IN ASIA

The Task Force Child Domestic Workers in Asia (TFCDW Asia) is composed of 17 organizations from South and Southeast Asia dedicated to sharing resources and expertise on the issue. To help generate national actions for child domestic workers in Asia, it has dedicated this portal of its most useful resources and multi-media presentations widely used in various consultations and workshops.

Helping Hands or Shackled Lives

The ILO report entitled, "Helping Hands or Shackled Lives?: Understanding Child Domestic Labour and Responses to It" throws light on the phenomenon of child domestic labour, and on the actions that are being taken to respond to it. It brings together the latest research undertaken by the ILO's International Programme on the Elimination of Child Labour (IPEC) and work done by other organizations in the field. It includes a number of case studies drawn from ILO-IPEC field work, and suggests possible future actions to be taken at all levels and by different players: governments, labour sector partners and NGOs.
